Bach Collegium San Diego Tesserae Baroque: A Praetorius Christmas

The Tesserae brass team is excited to be a part of Bach Collegium San Diego’s celebration of Michael Praetorius, one of Germany’s most influential seventeenth century composers whose music became the core repertoire for Northern Germany’s prominent churches.
A thrilling program of Praetorius’ music as it might have been heard in a Christmas Lutheran Mass during the first half of the seventeenth century. Joined by Los Angeles-based ensemble Tesserae, specializing in the music of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
